Do you do all types of alterations, or just bridal?

Yes, I normally do all types of alterations. However, because I am also working on Broadway, I won’t be taking many small alterations with the exception of add-ons to a larger job. For the time being, I am maintaining at $150 minimum on all alterations.

Do I need to make an appointment?

Yes. Because I work in a private studio and my hours change week to week, an appointment is required to ensure that I am available when you come in.

What do I need to bring?

If you are having a long gown (bridal, bridesmaid, evening) hemmed, you will need to have the shoes you plan to wear with the gown with you when I mark the hem. I ask that you have the actual shoes you are going to wear and not ones with a similar heel height. Also, if you are bringing in pants or a casual dress or skirt that is full length, bring the type of shoe that you are most likely to wear with it. For most wedding and formal gowns, I can and do build a bra in so you often will not need to have a special one for the first fitting. I recommend waiting until you have met with me before deciding if you want to purchase a special undergarment.

Can I bring my dress/garment/design idea in and get your opinion?

Yes, I do offer consultation appointments. The consultation fee is $35 for consults for bridal alterations and $50 for custom gown consults. If you choose to use my services after the consultation, that fee will be deducted from your total cost. In an alterations consultation we will look over your garment and discuss what alterations we would recommend as well as answering all of your questions and offering creative suggestions. For a custom gown consult, we will look over your inspiration photos and/or sketches together, discuss fabric options, and I will answer all of your questions about the process. In both types of consults, I give you a price quote for your gown.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Currently, I accept cash and Venmo.
