    Time For a Party!

It's been an absolutely crazy year for us! I got engaged and planned my wedding, we got the amazing opportunity to move to our new shop and team up with the very talented Rebecca Schoneveld, and had our busiest season to date. There is much to celebrate and we will be doing just that!

On Thursday, November 12, 7-10pm at our shop on 3rd Ave, we will be hosting our Grand Opening  Party, an event that I hope to turn into an annual end of season event. There will be wine and  champagne from Gowanus Wine Merchants,  hors d'oeuvres by Sammy of Earth's Basket and Subs and Stuff, music, and a few surprises.  You will need an ivitation, so if you would like to join us, shoot me an email at amtailoring@gmail.com and we will send one right over!

    Hope to see you there!
    Love,

    Amanda

    New Season, New Hours

I am just back from a few weeks of travel! First to my own wedding, which was wonderful!  Then to the ASDP Conference in Minneapolis, where I learned so much and improved my skills ten fold thanks to an amazing team of instructors who always willing to share their incredible skills. We are looking forward to our first holiday season in the new space. We are beginning our walk-in hours and hope to be adding embroidery to our services before Thanksgiving.

Also, we are very excited to announce our Grand Opening Party on Thursday, November 12, from 7pm-10pm. If you haven't received an invite and would like to attend, please send me your email address and we will forward it along!

    One Year Ago Tomorrow.....

One year ago tomorrow morning I woke up at the crack of dawn and begin loading my sewing machines into a UHaul truck. For the first time ever, I was moving my tailoring services out of my home and becoming an actual business. I was absolutely terrified but hopeful. Since that time I have expanded to three studio rooms and have hired two wonderful assistants. Now, we are booked up weeks in advance sometimes and I work long hours 6-7 days a week, but I couldn't be happier. I work with the best clients, meet the greatest people,  and do the thing I love most everyday. Tomorrow we will be celebrating our first year by participating in our very first bridal expo, the Toasted Wedding Event. If you can be there, please come by and say "Hello" and see what exciting things we have coming up for year two!

    Love,

So Now We Have a Website!

For years I have been hounded to have a website for my services. Yes, I know you cannot be a legitimate business without one anymore. The problem is I am great at sewing, designing, and altering the most difficult pieces, but I get stupid when it comes to "tech stuff". Finally, sitting here on Easter morning with my coffee, my cat, and my tech-savvy fiancé, I have created a website. I welcome your comments and suggestions to help improve it from it's current state and look forward to building it up over the coming weeks with photos and new product offerings. Wish me luck!
